(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

17 September

Today, I wore a white t-shirt and my dirty hair hat and have spent the whole day seeing my reflection and cringing over what a fat old lady I look like.

Now, I know that I don't really look like an old lady, not the least of which is because two weeks ago I told all of the 23 year old children that I work with that I am 41 and they all just about fell off their chairs in shock. I thought they were being nice and complimentary, but it turned out that they actually thought I was lying! Which is pretty damn complimentary.

Today, however, I look about 141. And 1141 lbs.

I think it's the dirty hair hat. I love my dirty hair hat, it's a bright orange bucket hat that says "The OC" on the front that my Mom got from the TV Academy, and it's just the best thing in the world for hiding the dirty hair. However, the bucket hat style isn't the most flattering on earth when one has no chin-line. And the white t-shirt, dear God, why do I even own any white t-shirts? I seriously look as though I'm ready for the circus. Fat and old.

So yeah, I've been thinking of going back to WW, and I think that that day has come. Or at least, once it's Monday that day has come. Thanks to Robyn, Kristin and Casey, I am reminded that I want to do The Wendie Plan. So I might not start Monday, because that would put my big eats day on Thursday, which makes no sense, so I might start on Wednesday so that the big eats day in Saturday. Whatever, I'm starting in a couple of days and hopefully I will be able to do something about the fact that I am a fucking rhino.

Less problems with audiences today and this evening, but will someone please explain to me why people say to me "But I have a reservation!" when I tell them that I have very little room in the theatre where the show started 15 minutes before. If you are going to pull "but I have a reservation!" card, get there on time, for crying out loud, as that card expires at 8p.

Between shows I went to see The Brothers Grimm, which was the only one that started and ended at the right time. Not that I didn't want to see it, but neither was I crazy to see it. It wasn't so much bad or good, but it was startling that a movie with that much interesting stuff happening in it could be that boring.

I did like the performances, I have never been even remotely impressed with Heath Ledger before, and I'm rarely that wild about Matt Damon, but I liked them both very much indeed. And the story was reasonably fun and the effects were great and why was I checking my watch so often? It's definitely Gilliam in Munchausen mode rather than Brazil mode, Jonathan Pryce or no. And I really didn't buy the last minute change of a character's personality that apparently also was a magic trick, because there certainly didn't appear to be any other reason for it.

Anyone out there a male actor in New York who is classically trained and wants to do Merry Wives of Windsor in October? It's a great cast and it'll be a great show, but Kelly is short an actor, so anyone who's interested let me know.

Today's horoscope:
Does it seem like someone's phone is always busy right when you want to talk to them? Communication styles are slightly out of sync in this moment. Chalk it up to the stars and wait it out with patience and good humor.
