28 March So yesterday I studied my lines all day! O yes I did. And was actually reasonably off-book for rehearsal at Liz', though not without calling for line and paraphrasing. Hey, I'm not God. This was the first time I have seen other parts of the show, since each scene stands alone, and it's looking pretty good! Not to mention it was the first time anyone but Glenn and Colleen have seen me, so I got a lot of laughs. I am going to kick such butt in this show. Laura is playing Daphne, which is absolutely an uphill battle, since Tracy is Daphne and that's all there is to it, but fortunately neither she nor Glenn ever saw Tracy do it, so they are coming at it fresh, and she's doing a pretty good job. Rachel as the one with the birthmark is good, too, and as she and Laura and I make the second act, that's looking pretty solid!
On my way out of the rehearsal, I picked up a message from Matty saying that he would meet me at ATA to pick up my mirror in about half an hour. Of course, he had called over half an hour ago and his cell wasn't working, but I hoped that he would wait for me at the theatre. I got there maybe twenty minutes after he said he'd get there, and hung around for about an hour and a half before figuring out that he had been and gone. I was really pissed. I mean yes, he's doing me a favour by picking up my thousand pound mirror in his truck and making it actually possible for me to take home, and don't think I don't appreciate it, but on the other hand, I tried to get in touch with him several times to figure out exactly when we would be doing this, and just calling with a fait accomplit about going over without there being anyway to reach him to confirm is really annoying! I sang a little song while walking down the street about how annoyed I am at all people in the world named Matt and Mark, and felt better.
When I got home, I realized that I have about 30 bottle caps from Pepsi with the free songs from ITunes on them, and I really should consider using them before they expire, so I downloaded ITunes and started using it. Wow! I love ITunes! It's so much better than Kazaa! Now I understand why people don't mind paying for it. And I'm using up all my Pepsi credits on Bea Arthur's album, which would have cost me $10 had I bought it all at once rather than using 25 free songs, but it was free so what the heck. I have a feeling that I might use it to actually buy songs with money after I use up my credits. I am already a big fan of its shuffle, which is much better than Musicmatch's.
