So last night was the last SAG screening of the year, Cinderella Man, and I could not go because of stupid old Summer Evening A. Poo. Ah well, what are you going to do?

On the other hand, what with there only being five audience members, which meant that I didn't get paid, and the only concessions sold were one glass of wine and one water (both to Ellen), I could have skipped out and nobody would have noticed a thing.

Last week, when I was picking up ice at Gristedes, I decided to get a Pepsi, and when I looked in the case, I noticed that there is a new flavour of Pepsi, namely Pepsi Lime.

Now, I am a Pepsi fan, I am severely addicted to it, and esteem it far over all other sodas. I have spent years completely ignoring Pepsi with lemon and cherry and vanilla and baked beans, because just like cheesecake, it is perfect the way it is and only gets worse when you add chocolate to it. Also, all change is bad.

I'm not certain if it was the green and blue label, very pretty on the eyes, or just the fact that I generally sort of like lime, but I actually bought something different (!!) and drank it and fell in love! Unfortunately, they barely sell it anywhere, so I just have been buying two a night when I get my ice.

This morning I went out and got breakfast, and you know what? They have it at my supermarket! I have a local source for my new addiction! There's actually something better than Pepsi in the world, who knew?

Remember the "I Can't Afford to Eat During the Daytime" Diet? I'm back on it!

Actually, I can afford to eat during the daytime, it's just that that diet consists of a roll and butter and a Pepsi, and it's too hot to eat anything else. I will have to re-dub it the "I'm Sick of Everything Else at the Deli" diet or the "Not From the Steam Table" diet.

Or possibly the "I'm Sick of Summer Already and it's Only June" diet.
