(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

22 February

So on Sunday I had the day free and last night? I had the night free! Man, there ain't nothing to make you appreciate having some free time than having so little of it that when you get what nearly everyone has at least once a week, it's like being given wings.

I am so in love with ripping cds onto my computer and then playing them in a shuffle, I can't even tell you! Before, on ver. 1.0 of this computer, I would download songs and make mix cds, very rarely would I add songs from cds that I already have to my computer.

But now, I've maybe download six or ten songs in the past two or three weeks, if that many. Wait, no, more like twenty, but most of them were for the Vanities soundtrack. For myself, I downloaded "Fuel" and "The Wreckoning" (thinking that it was "The Remedy", which I finally downloaded when I remembered that that was the name of the song), and some songs by Roy and Cheese on Bread, but mostly it's been about the cds.

Who knew how great a shuffle was? Everyone but me, apparently. And if I take the computer to work, I can play music really quietly in the lobby and nobody will notice! At least they didn't yesterday, we'll see how that goes.

I do have one question, though. How come no matter how many songs and how cds and how many items I have availible for The Shuffle, no matter what, one of the songs chosen is always "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone" by Dr. Hook and the Medicine crew.

Apparently, it's my computer's favourite song.

Today's horoscope:
You've got energy to spare -- and it's a good thing, too, because you're going to need it. Oh, and when you cross paths with someone who's not feeling quite so motivated, chat 'em up. You can get them going, if anyone can.

So I explained my reasoning behind wanting to switch the order, and he explained his reasoning for not wanting to switch the order, and everything was fine. Amazing how simple communication makes everything alright!
