(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

13 March

I really miss having a computer in my house, don't get me wrong, but I am starting to really love going to the library every day.

I like the drive, and it's always a beautiful day, and this library is just so welcoming. As I said before, it's not overburdened with books, but the way it's designed brings in so much light, and it has a really comfortable vibe. Unlike the new Ivar library (which is probably 15 years old, but will always be the new library to me), which is unwelcoming, ugly, and has no room for any books at all. Ugh.

Last night, Mom and I went to Red Lobster, because she had $80 worth of free meals coming to her either there, at two places I've never heard of, or at the Olive Garden.

Now, I may love McDonald's, I may think that Sizzler is the height of dining excellence, but I am way too snobby to be seen dead in the Olive Garden. So Red Lobster it was!

It was very far away, we had to drive forever, since the one nearer our house closed last week, and when we got there is was in a cluster of chain restaurants, Chili's and Quiznos Subs and places like that, but it ended up being pretty nice!

I mean, it may be a chain restaurant, but it has white napkins. The lobster was very good, the mashed potatoes were perfect (and I'm picky about my mashed potatoes) and those cheese biscuits are to die for. And for dessert, a brownie sundae. Yeah, I was going to be eating less, wasn't I? I didn't eat myself sick, if that means anything.

O, and Mom forgot the free meal cards on the table at home. So we're going again next week!

Today's horoscope:
Good sportsmanship is essential when you're playing with a sore winner. Some people see their game performance as a reflection of their character. Be happy that yours is a more cosmic perspective.

One year ago today:
We got to the hotel, and my God that was the smallest room I had ever seen in my life. Omar called right at that moment and said, "Where are you?" "I'm in, my God, the smallest hotel room I have ever seen in my life!" "Don't take anything less than a hundred."
