4 March So yesterday we drove to Gateway and dropped off my laptop, since the screen hasn't worked for months on end. We went to the Gateway in Glendale where we dropped off Mom's computer at Christmas time, where she ended up having an intense relationship with one of the guys there. I'm hoping that they won't keep mine for as long as they kept hers! But I know better. While we were there, we went to the library that's up the street, aka the greatest library on the planet, and took out a shitload of books, then we had lunch at a Panda Express and went home. We walked through the door, I sat down to fire up Mom's computer, and...it. Didn't. Fucking. Boot. Up. It waited to be the only computer in the house, and then it immediately dropped dead. It's a Gateway conspiracy! I fucking well hope that it manages to boot up for long enough to get the travel entry that I wrote last night out, because I'd really rather not write that fucker again.
A year ago today, if you check below, you'll see that I was fired from The Company That Still Must Not Be Named. Weirdly, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Mom would not agree, considering how much money she's shelled out for my insurance since then, but it really was killing my soul. I may one day have another straight job in an office, but I ain't never going to work in the same place for eight years until my brains are running out of my ears again, not never not nohow.
