29 January Last night was opening night of Megan's new show which was very busy and crowded. Also, last night was opening night of Moira's new show, which was not so much. Sometimes, there is just nothing all that interesting to write about the box office.
Another new show that I am loving is Life Laundry on BBCAmerica. It's where this woman comes to your house and makes you throw out all of your junk. You'd think that a person could throw out her own junk, but I am living proof that it's difficult as hell. It's fascinating, really, watching it all happen--they take the whole house and put it in the backyard and they look at every single thing and either keep, sell or throw it in the crusher. The one thing that annoys me is that the woman who is the star of the show is actually American, but she clearly has been living in Britain for ages, so she has this flat American accent with the occasional "clut-tah" or "bahsket" popping up.
This is a good entry as a whole, but I have got to say that the idea of high school girls engaging in lesbian activity to impress the boys makes me laugh harder than anything else I have heard lately. Frankly, I can say as a former high school girl that we would have done that too, if we had thought of it. There is nothing more important to a fifteen year old girl than a fifteen year old boy. Except for possibly a sixteen year old boy. And she'll go down on another fifteen year old girl to get one.
