26 May Well, yesterday was an annoying day. The problem with the fact that we all live together is that while we can rehearse anytime we want, it means that we never goddamn rehearse. We were supposed to rehearse yesterday around 2p, but I kept going upstairs and they were never there. The kids said that they were upstairs "taking a nap" and Lord knows I'm not going up to their room with that warning. Cynthia finally came downright before I left the house to go meet Tracing, and apparently they really were napping, since they were exhausted. Okay, I forgive them, but I would rather have not been on point all damn day long. Well, at least I got the opportunity to watch a really good TV show called The Shakespeare Conspiracy. Apparently, the Earl of Oxford wrote Shakespeare's plays. Who knew?
So I met Tracing in the city at a restaurant called Blue Smoke. We wanted ribs and she convinced me to actually eat somewhere else besides Heartland. However, we had to wait for an hour and a half to be seated, so we decided to go somewhere else. We only had to walk a block before we found a place called Houston that had ribs, too. Too expensive, but Tracing offered to treat. It was really good, the ribs and the cheese toast and the key lime pie, we waddled out a couple of hours later having gone over both of our lives with a fine-toothed comb. Then we went to the AMC and saw A Mighty Wind, which was great. I paid for the cab and used my passes for the movie, because I am such a sport. It was just wonderful, terribly funny and surprisingly moving. Eugene Levy about broke my heart, and I actually was weeping during their song in the concert.
Lenten entries missed: Athena was proud to report that Ty has teeth, is crawling and is standing, the little prodigy, showed a bunch of pictures of him, and went back to the gym.
