(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

23 May

So yesterday Omar and I went to see Down With Love.

We loved it! We loved it very very much. Gosh, what a terrific movie, the best thing I have seen this year so far. A wonderful script, excellent acting (particularly David Hyde Pierce, who stole the film) and of course the costumes and art direction were flawless.

Afterwards, we went to Starbucks, then to the Cupcake Cafe, which I have never been to but have been desperate to go since Melissa alerted me to it's existence back in December. So I think it took me nearly six months to walk the three blocks to this place. Yeah, that's about par for me.

And it's spectacular, might I add! I've spent the past 21 years on 42nd St., frankly, and it took me this long to turn right rather than left and head downtown rather than up and walk into the most wonderful place in New York City. It looks like a real dive, but the cupcakes are perfection, and every person who walked in while we were there was greeted by name, it was like Cheers with cupcakes.

We had a great day together, he and I. We talked more about what I wrote about here, about the problems that his family has with me, that they are waiting for me to go away and that I'm not going anywhere.

He said, "Of course, the reason that this is funny is because after we did that first show together, I thought you were so great and I called you after it was over and asked you out for coffee and to talk about the company, and you never called me back!"

Karma. It comes back and bites you on the ass every time.

Lenten entries missed:

Molly Zero thought of several things that don't suck (including starting a photoblog which doesn't suck a single bit), had a birthday, cathartically complained, and got ready for her barbershop quartet competition.

Today's horoscope:
Why are you still talking about what you could already have finished? You're too quick to inhale the frustrations of someone with a different set of problems. End on a positive note to which you can return.

One year ago today:
"Ah yes, you can tell by looking at the A on that one that he has an enormous penis!"
