(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

21 February

Watching the most recent Biography-like show that I have become enamoured with, The E True Hollywood Story.

It really is terrifically entertaining, particularly when it's about a TV show or a movie rather than an Actor's Tragic Fall. I was fascinated to see how they could fill two hours talking about Welcome Back Kotter, but they managed!

The one I'm watching now is on H.R. Pufinstuf, which was just about my favourite show when I was little, since I was completely in love with Jack Wild. And my Christ, does he look awful now! There can't be alot worse than being an immensely attractive child and teenager and growing up to be a troll.

I'm sure he's a very nice troll, but one can only imagine the amount of hard living that would make a 49 year old man look about 102.

So today was Weight Watchers.

I was worried, because even after getting so sick on Saturday night, I wasn't entirely good for the next couple of days after that. If getting sick was enough to make me suddenly have a will and a backbone then I would have developed one long ago, because I have had stomach and digestive problems for twenty years or longer and I haven't noticed any such result.

Yesterday, I stayed with my points and did well, which is like brushing your teeth really hard the day before you go to the dentist, and this morning I stepped on that scale with fear and trepidation, and I...

Lost weight! Only .2 of a pound, but baby, any port in a storm. Which means that I have lost 12.8 pounds altogether, the number inching ever upward, and I do mean inching this week!

Next week I'll do better. I'll be good. The problem is that it isn't easy anymore, and I am weak and wilful and don't do things unless they are easy. I am 37 years old, I can't change my entire personality at my age, can I? Well, if I want to be thin, I'll have to.

I love local radio. "Tonight, Michelle Kwan skates for the gold, as do American Sasha Cohen and Sarah Hughes from Great Neck."

American-shamerican, it's far more important as to whether they are from New York!

Just read that year ago today entry and wept and wept.

Boy do I still miss him. I don't think about him all the time, but when I do, I really wish he was here. Sometimes, the kids will mention him, Bonnie will say in her odd non-sequitur way, "Where's Milo?" and I answer, "Milo's dead, remember? Milo's in heaven," and she'll ask, "Milo's in heaven?"

Yes, he is.

One year ago today:
Goodbye, my little Milo, my funny, awkward, big mouthed, bullying, good good boy.
