Jump back! Today is the 1st, this is the entry for the 1st and I'll be posting it on the 1st!! Actually, I'm likely to finish it after midnight, but that way it's not such a shock to the system.

So, yesterday was Second Thanksgiving.

This is a tradition that we started last year because the Callahans spend the holiday at Fran's sister's house with his family, but that way there are no leftovers, and Fran is crazy about turkey and stuffing sandwiches, so Cynthia makes a turkey and rice and sweet potatoes and a pie, and I make stuffing and mashed potatoes and bread pudding and we all eat ourselves into a coma.

Jon Daddy came as well, because we are all Callahans, and because he had a rotten real Thanksgiving at his sister's house. All of the food was a big hit, Molly tried a little of my bread pudding to be polite and was quite startled at how much she liked it.

I would have liked to spend the holiday with Omar, but the lesson learned here was that it's always best to spend it with the family that you have created than with anyone else (or, when it comes down to it, with blood relatives), and I am a Callahan, not a Prince.
