Sent this letter last night to my list. Help if you can!

Help! Serious Sims problem! I don't want to lose all of my families! I totally cheated on my no-buying year this evening, picking up House Party, and clearly I am being punished for totally cheating and everything, but I got it and we're moving on.

Now, I keep my Sims on the D drive, but it insisted on installing to the C drive, so I installed it, and then moved it over to D, but then it was telling me that I had installed Livin' Large afterwards, and it wanted me to uninstall and re-install House Party, but it couldn't uninstall because it wasn't in C! So I moved it to C, and then it was no longer asking me to uninstall, but it won't load--I managed to get to a house, but all of my people were lying on the floor, then they hopped up and started bouncing up and down with balloons over their heads saying "No Anim", then the program crashed.

Help! Help help! Either what am I missing, or, if I have to re-install everything, what files to I need to save in order to keep my families and houses?

I cannot live without my Sims.
