So last night I was working late with The Raccoon, trying to think about what movie I wanted to see, but there really isn't much playing. I wanted to see The Caveman's Valentine, but the next showing started too late. Then The Raccoon asked, "Seen Hannibal yet?" So I went to that.

I don't know what I was expecting, since it has gotten such vitriolic reviews, but I was pretty certain that I would like it better than that, since gore doesn't bother me, and in fact, I like it, but I walked out thinking, "That is the most erotic film I have seen in awhile."

I realize that few will agree with me, not sharing my somewhat specialized tastes (in films only, not real life, I hasten to add), but it was all blood and smooth tones and I just thought that my brains were going to leak out of my ears. That scene in the kitchen, the stuff in Italy, the mask, when he carries her, it all was just so incredibly hot that I may just have to see it again.
