(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

13 June

Well, here it is, the 13th, the day of the Carnegie Hall concert, and still, no ticket for me. Sigh and weep. Weep and sigh.

Well, I certainly hope that all you bastards who snapped up all of the tickets and made it so that I couldn't go have a good time, because if you don't, if you stole my chance at a ticket and you don't like bluegrass and you don't like O Brother Where Art Thou and you are just going as a favour to someone else and you are just going to sit there and be miserable, rolling your eyes, then I...I...well, I don't know what. I'll be very annoyed, that's what!

Boy, that'll show 'em. I'll bet they're shivering in their boots at the thought.

On the other hand, good news from faithful correspondent Amanda!

The first time they had this concert, back last year in Nashville, D.A. Pennebaker filmed it and called it Down From the Mountain and it's premiering this weekend at The Screening Room! Don't bother checking the website, as it's not listed yet, but apparently the filmmakers will be there on Friday and Saturday.

And maybe some of the performers will still be in town because they don't have to get to Telluride until late next week!

And, back to the bad news, Stef broke my heart by writing me and telling me that Dan Tyminski's band (billed as the Soggy Bottom Boys) were on Conan last night. I, of course, watch Conan every single goddamn night, you know, except for last night, of course, when I decided to go to sleep at a reasonable hour. She then rubbed it in by agreeing that Barry, my bass player, is really cute! Argh!

Did anyone tape Conan last night? Please? I'll pay!

Jen went on a ski trip, started worrying about her orals, turned 29, and went to the GYN.
