Well, the answers to the question, why should my purple hair remind people of all of the war orphans have been pouring in, and there were actually several people who got it right, none of whom were the two biggest film geeks in my circle! I was very impressed.

And the winner is Michael who sent the correct answer first! And the correct answer is that it's a play on the The Boy With Green Hair, a wonderful Dean Stockwell movie from the 40's that I saw on TV when I was a little kid, and it is, as you have undoubtedly guessed by now, about a little boy whose hair turns green to remind people of all of the war orphans.

I am going to send Michael a prize as soon as I can think of one, but in the meantime I'll make him Journal of the Week! His journal is Bunt Sign and I started reading it yesterday after his e-mail, and it's really well-written. I feel confident in recommending it for real, and not just as a prize.

And since I was up 'till 3a last night watching The Usual Suspects on DVD (killer alternate audio track!), I'd say go read Michael right now, because I have got to get to work!
