My show is making me crazy and I haven't even started it yet!

I really want the perfect cast, I really want the cast that I want, which is why I didn't do it in July when I could have done it in the better theatre, I wanted to wait until Kelly and Omar were available. Then, when I got my dates, I contacted Kelly and she was thrilled (she should be, I gave her the scripts back in October when we were doing Group Therapy), and I had wanted Winni for it, but she was cast in something else so I asked Ann Parker, and then I couldn't get someone for the third woman, but finally I got Kirsten, who will be wonderful in the role.

Now I need a guy. Because I cannot find Omar.

He was in Midsummer with Kelly, which is why I changed my dates, but then he ended up not doing Midsummer after all, because of a family emergency, and then he and his boyfriend broke up, and suddenly none of his contact information was any good! He wasn't at his job, he didn't live in the same apartment, we got a new email address for him, but even when I wrote emails begging him to answer he didn't (there's a bit of karma come to bite me in the ass!) so I'm not entirely certain that the address is right, or maybe wherever he is, he doesn't have a computer.

I looked for him for a month, until I finally decided to go with my second choice, John who acted in You Can Look But You'd Better Not Touch with me. I figured that he'd be almost as good as Omar, he'd accept the role, and everything would be not only hunky, but dory as well!

Unfortunately, he turned me down, and for the worst excuse any actor has ever given! You wanna know what it was? It's because his wife is having a baby this week and he wants to spend time with his family! What a rotten reason!

Kidding, natch, that's a perfectly reasonable reason, though when I told Cynthia and Fran that he said that if I was doing anything in December, he'd be up for it, Fran said that it was obvious this was his first kid, or he wouldn't be all up for the idea of doing nothing but be with him for four months!

Cynthia suggested, after I picked them up by the scruffs of their necks and shook them until some suggestions rained out, Ty Groom, who would be lovely in the roles, and I cannot believe that I didn't think of him myself, though he's a little robust for the kid with AIDS, he's not supposed to be last stages or anything. He's a flight attendant and has enough seniority that he barely has to work, so maybe he'll say yes.

Of course, it wouldn't be one of my shows if I wasn't casting at the last minute, but I really want somebody good, not an unknown quantity, someone that can play three different roles and not be difficult.

In re that horoscope below, whomever it is, they had better make themselves known to me, because Lord knows, I have yet to read a signal right in my life and I'm 37 years old, so we can't really expect for it to magically change today.
