(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

30 April

So yesterday was the Day of Many Rehearsals, first being Show #2 and second being Show #1. I really am amazingly lucky in this whole doing two shows at once thing, since that was only my third rehearsal for Show #2 (aka Women of the Wild West) and I'm just as solid as I would be if I had rehearsed daily for weeks. More so, actually, because then I would be bored silly with it.

I'm pretty bored with Show #1, actually. There is a line that one character says, "I hate sex with Roger, too. I feel that if I can just maintain a pleasant expression throughout, I have done my part," and I feel that if I can manage to keep an interested expression during some of those long speeches, then you cannot ask for much more. And I see that same look on the faces of the other actors during my monologues, so I know that it ain't just me.

I have absolutely come to the conclusion that I won't get a single laugh. Omar and Susan just own this show, and they are doing really great jobs. I am dull and plain, but cannot do anything else, because getting bigger is wrong for the character, and will give the audience a headache.

It was the first time that I saw Susan with full hair and makeup and immediately asked to photograph her. She looks so great, with this beehive hairdo and liquid eyeliner--she looks like Reform School Girl, or something from an early John Waters flick. She looks like she might have a switchblade hidden in her hair. I love it.

For the Women of the Wild West rehearsal I saw most of the other actors for the first time. There're some really good people in this show, particularly a girl whom I had called when I was trying to replace Sabine in the hippie play, and she's just aces. I want to cast her in Patrick's show.

I haven't even talked to Le about this show yet, it's not set, it's not in the schedule, but I have it mostly cast in my head. I hope I can get all of these actors when I need them!

Megan, for the first time in the history of the web, moved her page and let everyone know! Lord knows I was shocked. There are lots of great entries, but the links are all wrong so I cannot link to them individually.

Scott continues proving that the people who want to have children the least sometimes end up being the greatest parents.

Today's horoscope:
A hectic schedule could lay you low. Avoid over extension. Pace yourself and say "no."

I had a good excuse for not updating all day, I wasn't here!
