15 November I always hit snooze three or four times before I get up, which means whatever I am dreaming I dream over and over again. Well, this morning I was dreaming about invoices, invoices from a vendor called Evergreen who provides the New York office with slide mailers. Well, it turned out that there were unexpected charges on the invoices that didn't go to the NY office, so they were refusing to approve them and so we couldn't pay them, and we were about to go on credit hold with them. It then was found out that the unknown charges were actually made by Richard Farnsworth. Yep, that was the dream that I dreamed four times this morning. A real thriller, ain't? And I woke up thinking "I know that Richard Farnsworth had cancer, but why would one person need 2400 slide mailers?"
Last night was such a night of everything going wrong, that I have decided to skip writing yesterday's entry temporarily. I might have time to do it this morning as well, but then again... Anyway, I had a call from Director Boy that we were rehearsing, me and him, at Harlequin Studios at 7p. I knew that I wouldn't be able to make it until 7.15p, but I also hoped that I might be able to make the SAG screening of Red Planet at 8.30p if I could get him to cut the rehearsal short at 8.15p. I left work late, so I took a taxi ($4.30) to Harlequin, getting there at 7.20p, and he wasn't there! Not only that, but the guy at the desk couldn't find a reservation under his name. I called his machine and left a message that I was there and I would be staying for a bit, but I was secretly pleased, because I didn't much want to rehearse, and this way I would make the screening. At 7.45p he came racing in to tell me that I had made a mistake, that my rehearsal was actually today. He got my message after his rehearsal on 8th Ave. and ran over, which I think was very good of him. So, I had 45 minutes to make the movie, which was twelve blocks away, and I thought that I would grab some dinner, because I was starving and had plenty of time. After I ate, it was 8p, so I had half an hour to go twelve blocks, tons of time, so I stopped at Virgin to pick up the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 2 pack, which I have been dying to get. It was on sale for $31, which was $9 off, so I thought that I'd grab it. When I got out of the store, it was 8.18p, and I was in trouble. I should have gotten a cab, but I didn't, so I went those twelve blocks as fast as I could, and got there just after they closed the doors. Damn. So I went home to watch my Toy Story/Toy Story 2 2 pack. "At least I have this," I thought, "And Red Planet is supposed to suck anyway. So I got home and I was watching it, and I thought I'd check the price on Amazon and see if it was cheaper, and then I saw that I had made a mistake, that what I had really wanted was the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3 pack with all of the cool extras. So the evening was supposed to contain a rehearsal, a movie and a DVD, but actually contained none of these things. Plus, when I got home I saw that though I remembered to set the VCR for Buffy and Angel, I hadn't set the cable box. But it was early enough to call Mom and have her tape them for me.
