(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

Hooray, a keyboard!

I'm borrowing Katie's for the nonce, but it's not going to slow me down on getting my laptop fixed because it has a weird thing with the "e" key, in that lightly tapping in makes it type twicee.

Like that.

However, going back and fixing the e's is far less annoying than cutting and pasting spaces in every word, so I'm happy with it.

So, on Sunday I went to the theatre wondering, "Is The Inspired Actor fired? Is he still in the show? If he is still in the show, will there be a fistfight in the dressing room?"

Well, he was still in the show, and we rehearsed his bit about four times beforehand, so I don't know if that was Michael making certain that he was very clear on what is required of him, or if he pulled some "I didn't know what I was supposed to do, so I thought that doing things different would be okay" crap.

The show was fine but for the fact that there were two people in the audience and twelve people onstage. Oscar night, you know. Afterwards, Michael was crowing about how it was our best show ever, to which I thought that if that was our best show, it's even a sadder specimen than I thought it was!

Afterwards, I had all this time to kill before I would be able to watch the Oscars, so I decided to, what the hell, go to the movies!

I decided to see The Cider House Rules, simply because that way I would see that many more of the nominees, and there was actually a screening starting in twenty minutes and three blocks! It never works out that way, so I thought that I had best take advantage of it.

There were more people at the film than I thought, meaning more than just me. I would have thought that the kind of people who would see The Cider House Rules would also be the kind of people who would care whether it got an Oscar or not, but I guess I was wrong.

It was a good film--no Best Picture nominee, by me, but very good. I don't know what they would have had with any other actor than Tobey Maguire, though, as what's great about this kid is that he makes the audience really want to take a journey with him. I don't know what it is about him, the look in his eyes or what, but I'd follow his story anywhere.

Yesterday it felt so much like spring in the morning that I went out in just a t-shirt and no jacket or anything.

I regretted it later, let me tell you, but I am so ready to not have to wear a coat until October.

Here's something cute for you Harry Potter fans. I'm in Slytherin, myself, as apparently both of my parents were wizards. The things your parents don't tell you...
