(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

19 June

It was Father's Day yesterday, and as a gift from the universe, I got to watch my Da on an episode of My Three Sons that I had never seen!

I was trying to gauge when it was shot from how he looked--I'd guess 1968 or so. It was about all of the kids arguing about whose Dad was the best athlete, so they had a two mile Dad's race, and my Dad was one of the Dads. It was sort of funny seeing this little boy call my father "Dad", and it was extremely funny seeing his paper-white legs in those shorts as he was running, especially since he had this farmer's tan on his arms and face.

I have taken to doing TVGuide.com searches on my father, and caught an episode of The Wild Wild West on Saturday, as well. It's fun seeing new things, even now, three years after he's gone. I'm so glad he was an actor.

So yesterday we rehearsed the show I'm in for simply hours and hours, though most of it was spent not exactly rehearsing, but figuring out the set and noodling around.

And when we did rehearse, we didn't do it without stopping. We did my bits without stopping, possibly because I wouldn't have stood for anything else, but the director was tossing in lines and corrections and things, and honestly, the time for that is long past.

Of course, I was doing the same thing for my girls on Saturday, but we're more under-rehearsed, and they were getting heatstroke. They'll be fine tonight, and all lines will be known and all will be well. Yep, sure will.

After rehearsal, we had a Father's Day barbecue, with both fathers in attendance, though it ended up being an indoor barbecue after it started to rain.

Franks and beans and burgers and chips and apple pie and a fight between Katie and her Dad, but that's only to be expected. I didn't lose any weight, but neither did I gain any, so that's coolerific.

Wow, this is a dull entry, ain't? Ah well, they can't all be gems, and I've gotta leave early today. Yesterday's entry only went up after midnight, so you may have missed that, and there's always the forum.

Were you with your father for Father's Day?

We're still talking about moviestar crushes, if it's silly to cry over a pet, if it's hard for you to be selfish, and diets.

And don't forget, episode 2 of The 1900 House is on tonight!
