Sorry this is so late, shugs, but my ftp was down this morning, and I only just got home.

I painted my nails last night!

A few weeks ago, I decided that it was silly to wear sandals every single day without painting my toenails, so I found the least dried up of my old polishes and painted them green. It was a very pretty colour, but most of my old bottles were filled with glop as thick as cream cheese, (green cream cheese, just like what lives in my fridge!), so I decided to get some fresh.

So, yesterday I went to Duane Reid and swept through the place like a hurricane--Hurricane Nail Polish, grabbing like six or eight bottles, and then when I got home, I put on the most beautiful of them all, then, unable to resist, painted my fingernails as well.

I never paint my fingernails, as it just chips too easily for my taste, but I just couldn't help myself, it was so exciting, the idea of having matching toe and fingernails, like a real girl.

I'm easily pleased.

And what is the most beautiful colour of them all? Yellow! No, really, it's the greatest yellow in all the land, not all pastel-y, but a really dark, bright yellow, like French's mustard, or like the Tower Records bags. It's not opaque, though, it's very clear and shiny and gorgeous.

In a way, it makes me look like I have a horrible disease.

I'll bet, were I famous, I'd go out wearing it and it would suddenly become the rage, but since I'm not it'll be just me, and I gaze at my nails all day, grinning.

I must say that the funniest stories that I have read lately are on my forum, in the kids thread. Can you top them?

And we're still talking about working retail, stubbornness, switch-hitting, funny kid stories, unintentional comedies, sexiest thing that maybe other people will think is weird, great casts, and procrastination.
