(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

27 December

So, yesterday I called all of my friends to see who could get together, and none of them could! This is what I get for waiting until the last minute.

So, instead I went out and ran errands. I needed to replace a book that I had gotten for Mom, a series book that I accidentally gave her the second rather than the third. I didn't want to go all the way back to Century City, because I knew that parking on the day after Christmas would be nightmarish, so I decided to go to the little corner mallish thing (what do you call a streetcorner with six stores surrounding a little parking lot?) where there is a bookstore.

Except that there isn't anymore. Where have all of the LA bookstores gone? Long time passing...

I did go to the Wherehouse to see if they had the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack, but they were sold out. So instead I bought DVDs. It's about to be the cutoff date, I am about to not be able to buy anything, so I though, what are the DVDs that I absolutely cannot live without for a whole entire year?

And they are Usual Suspects, Airplane, Animal House, and Leon-The Professional. Which were on an even more stupendous sale than the stickers said, which was plenty cool.

Afterwards, I kept desperately searching for O Brother, Where Art Thou?, which just totally isn't anywhere. Why has there been a run on them? Did everyone suddenly become Depression-era folk fans, and if so, why so suddenly?

So, in order to cheer myself up, I returned all of my library books and got twenty more. I don't know how I managed, because there are just no books in these libraries, but somehow I scraped them up.

Then I came home and did nothing, because there were no screenings worth seeing! I'm never going to see all of the people that I want to at this rate...

Man, this is a dull entry. Sorry, I'm too sleepy to be interesting tonight, I'll try to be better tomorrow!

Today's horoscope:
You will have to make a choice between siding with the old, familiar, traditional versus the new, different, unusual.

One year ago today:
It was a night of constant hilarity and hut jokes.
