4 August There. Now it's Friday. That's better.
I've been terribly lazy and slacker-ish this morning, picking out exactly what I'm going to use my cdnow 15% discount on and things. It's my birthday month, you see, and I've been buying stuff for myself off my Amazon wishlish (actually, since last month) and then hiding them and working very hard at forgetting what it all is, and so when my birthday actually arrives I'll have lots of presents! I'm a freak, I know, but something's gotta take the edge off of turning 36.
You know, I don't do things like this, but the year ago link (below) is a really good entry. I think if I had to pick a really representative entry for this journal, that would be it. I remember writing it in my head while going to get my ice cream, and being really proud of myself at how it was flowing. You know, unlike this entry. And while we're checking out below, the horoscope is good, too. I hope you're reading it, Russell, because I'm tired of doing all the work in this relationship! And see what Jackie has to say about me and Russ! I don't know but that's sad that half the online world is indulging my wild fantasy life, but hey, I've got nothing going on in reality, to I'll just keep spiraling down to madness. You know, if I ever do actually meet him, I'll probably throw up on his shoes. Hopefully they won't be suede.
I've gotta go, I'm sorry this is so short. But visit my Journals of the Week, Neil and Jason--I'm sure they have much more to say than I! O, also Jolene (who doesn't have a sig file so I don't have her URL) is doing a burb for Cafepress people, so if you are doing that, send her your name, journal name and URL and Cafepress URL. Cafepress doesn't have a search feature, so this will be very useful.
Yesterday, I suddenly started craving cake. But not any kind of cake, birthday party cake. The cake is chocolate, I think but that's not important, what really matters is the icing, which is the kind that's so sugary that it gets this crunchy skin on it, you know what I mean? What are you craving right now? And we're still talking about being behind the times, bug invasions (some quite revolting stories!), irrational fears, family legends, what to write about when there's nothing to write about, children's books and the first lines quiz (now with answers!), swearing, our top ten songs, and Australian (and New Zealand) yumminess.
