(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

7 April

The weather is getting stranger and stranger.

On Tuesday it was 68° at 11p, on Wednesday it was absolutely freezing (it actually snowed upstate!), and yesterday morning when I got off the van it was both brightly sunny and raining at the same time!

The Raccoon said that her Mom said that that means the devil's daughter is getting married.

Last night it was about 72° when I left work, and this morning it's clear and cool. Do you think that the weather can make up its mind? O yeah, this is what spring is always like, I just forget.

So, last night I was all industrious.

I have so much to do and I'm behind with everything, and this place is a sty, and I just decided to do one thing every day to clean up the house, and one thing to clean up my life.

Maybe my resolve won't last all that long, but at least while it does I'll be getting things done.

Last night I cleaned out the refrigerator (waaaay overdue on that one!) and caught up on my eBay transactions--the stuff I'm selling. I updated my notebook and logged my new checks and packed up some boxes and asked people for payment who have not paid me yet.

I'd feel really super organized if I hadn't gotten an email from someone asking where her package is whom I have marked down that I sent her package two weeks ago! Either it got lost or I marked her wrong, so I've gotta figure that one out. Maybe I have another copy of that ad.

Anyway, besides that I'm all smug and organized.

Of course, I was also going to work on my monologue last night, but ended up just packing boxes and watching movies on cable instead.

First was a movie that I actually thought of the other day, Romancing the Stone, which wasn't quite as good as I remembered, but still was a pretty swell romantic romp. Hard to imagine that Kathleen Turner, who is now hard as a stone herself, used to allow herself to be that vulnerable in films.

After that I watched William Hurt suck it up for a paycheck in Lost in Space, the perfect film to watch when you aren't really paying attention, so that you are neither bored to tears nor rolling your eyes at the weird logic.

I watched it thinking "You've sure come a long way from The Accidental Tourist, haven't you, Bill?"

What a drag that film is. I have rarely seen a character or an actor more annoying than the intensely tiresome Lacey Chabert, and though the time travel twist was interesting for about ten seconds, they wasted a golden opportunity to have Bill Mumy play the adult Will Robinson! I mean, what was that all about?

(three balls)

Alright, I'm gonna be late for work again, catch you later.

I probably looked a trifle crazed while trying to restrain myself.
