(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

7 October

You know, this writing in the morning thing sucks ass, at least on a weekday, because there's this finite amount of time before I have to leave the house, and if my mind's a blank, too bad for me.

I've just gotten painfully lazy as of late, and I can't be bothered with writing at night anymore, when there's actually time to do so, instead I say "Well, I'll just go to sleep now and get up earlier tomorrow, but then it's snooze snooze snooze and I get up only half an hour early, then check my email, then answer my email (well, list mail, but still, that's procrastination to the nth, ain't?) and then I start and then I'm late so I skip showering.

Never two days in a row, let me add, and no more than twice a week. Still grosses you out? Well, you don't have to work with me, get over it.

And it used to be easy for me to write quickly, because I would think of things and email notes to myself during the day, sometimes fleshing them out, and then all I'd have to do was cut and paste and voila, entry.

I'm watching them perform the "Night Fever" number from the new Saturday Night Fever musical on the Today show now. It's the strangest thing I've ever seen, this actor singing "Night Fever" as though it's the kind of song that you act to.

He really is quite good at it, but I think that this just may represent a new low in the American musical. Even below the loathsome Footloose, and no I haven't seen it, I don't have to.

Anyway, back to writing an entry about writing an entry, I don't do that anymore. Occasionally I will take a note to use later, but never flesh it out in advance, and usually I end up not using the notes, and they molder until I realize that it's so out of date that I might as well just forget it.

Now, I write when I sit down to write, it's much more immediate, but it doesn't leave you much wiggle-room!

O wait, here's something! It's a Sixth Sense spoiler, so beat it if you haven't seen the flick.

An absolute genius on one of my mailing lists suddenly asked if it had occurred to anyone that the puppy was dead? Remember the puppy? Toni Collette throws clothes on his head when he's sitting in the laundry basket at the beginning? And nobody ever walks him or feeds him or pets him or anything, if I am remembering correctly?

I ran around all day yesterday asking people that question, including calling my Mom, and all of them, to a man, said "I have got to see that movie again!"

Man, I have got to see that movie again...

Today's horoscope:
Power and passion are central today. Strive to control yourself (sensibly) rather than trying to control the actions of anyone else.

One year ago today:
Well, maybe not interesting, per se, but that won't stop me from talking about it at great length!
