5 November
So last night I was simply dropping in front of my computer at 10.30p, so I thought I'd go to bed. "I'll get up at 8a having had nine hours of sleep and do all of my writing in the morning!"
Ha.
I did go to sleep at 11p, but woke at 4a to go to the bathroom, and then couldn't get back to sleep for hours and hours. This was mostly the fault of them bad kitties, who saw that I was awake and were all "Purr purr rub rub pet me pet me don't pet him!"
And of course, when the alarm rang at 8a, I hit snooze three times and each time I clonked immediately back to sleep. Why I couldn't do that at 4a, I'll never know.
God I'm tired.

The phones were down most of yesterday, which, since they went down just as I relieved the receptionist for her lunch, made for a restful hour.
And a restful rest of the day as I went back to my desk. The only problem was that not only were the phones down, but the internet was down, too, so I kept trying to check my email, and The Raccoon kept thinking "Well, the phones are down, so I'll make this call...oops!"

Thanks so much yesterday, everyone who voted in the contest! (if you didn't see, these are the six photos that I sent to the M.I.L.K contest, the one with the $121,750 first prize)
Of course I realize how intesely egotistical it is to say "Here is some of my wonderful work. Which do you think is the most wonderful of all!" but I was interested on which ones pop.
As it turns out, they all made a good showing, which is good, as that means that none of them are universally loathed, but the clear winner is After the Christening.

The actual moment of birth. Pretty cool, huh?

Today's horoscope:
