(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

2 November

On Sunday night I watched Siskel and Ebert Minus Siskel, and the Guest Siskel was the dreaded Harry Knowles.

In the middle of the night, I woke up terribly sick to my stomach, and I staggered to the bathroom without turning on the light, which means that I was still basically asleep. And in my dream, the reason that I felt so incredibly sick was because of Harry Knowles. It was all his fault.

I think that I may have been a little over-influenced by Jette, Diane and Toni's recent entries!

Also that night, Monty, who usually sleeps next to my head, decided that the real place to be, the place where all the cool cats were, was actually on my pillow.

I sleep on just the smallest bottom corner of my pillow, which corner depending on which direction I happen to be facing, which means that there was an invitingly empty stretch of pillow available. So Monty curled up on it, which I didn't particularly notice until I tried to turn over in my sleep and ended up with this big fluff of cat in my face.

He was sleeping so deeply, though, that I just let him stay.

So yesterday I was babysitting before work so that Cynthia could go to a quick audition a few blocks from my office.

When I came upstairs, Bonnie took one look at me and immediately ran to her pallet and went to bed! I practically had an aneurism laughing. It's her party trick for me.

So we got in the car and drove to town and parked, and she really had gone to sleep, so I just sat in there with her and read. Unfortunately, Cynthia didn't get done quite as fast as she assumed, and when I was already almost half an hour late I pulled out the umbrella stroller and took her with me. Still sleeping, might I add.

I got to work and said to The Raccoon, "Here's why I'm late!" About fifteen minutes later Cynthia arrived, so I rolled the sleeping child downstairs, Cynthia said "My God, she's still asleep? She wouldn't be if it was me or Fran with her! Did you drug her?" and at that precise moment, immediately after being put back in her car seat, she work up and started squinting crankily.

All for Mommy!

Finally got around to watching the Buffy and Angel Spike crossover episodes from a couple of weeks ago.

My main problem with Angel is that, Gem of Amara or no, there seems to be way too much wandering around near daylight in that show. I mean, a couple of bullet holes in the ceiling and he's sweating like a maniac, but he was in that girl's bright apartment, light streaming through giant windows, with nary a twitch.

Today's contest photo is actually starting another series, it is #1 in the Bonnie's Birth series. That's Cynthia and Fran about two minutes (if that) before that baby came out.

And if you want to relive the story, it lives here.

Get your quota of hugs today. Physical contact is more important than usual: cuddle. Buying, collecting or saving things can also provide reassurance.
