22 May

Wow, this'll be going up late. I didn't wake up until 1.45p! I guess I needed it, 'cause I sure feel happy and rested.

Good thing I don't have rehearsal this afternoon!

I was going to go into work today, but just like last week, I decided to just stay really late on Friday night instead.

So I stayed until 11.30p and matched a bunch of POs and got all my shit done and was able to leave with my head held high, a good week's work behind me, by jing by golly!

The most appalling thing happened yesterday, though.

My email wasn't downloading, so I went to Systems and they told me that it was because they were switching from Eudora and I wasn't supposed to use it anymore.

What was I supposed to use? Microsoft Outlook Express.

I can honestly say, after using it for a day, that Microsoft Outlook Express is the most dreadful, awful, ghastly, appalling, grim email program ever to have been vomited from the maw of Microsoft.

Not that I have strong feelings about it.

"But it's much better than Eudora!" they said, "It has so many features! You can put in your appointments!"

I never have any fucking appointments. And you have to answer email backwards with the answer on top, and you can't filter things properly, and the interface is ugly and horrid and confusing and I hate it! And this isn't just because I hate change, this is because Microsoft Outlook Express sucks!

Bleh.

Yesterday I realized that I hadn't checked Bitch Bitch Bitch for awhile, since when I'm on a notify list I don't think about it until I am notified.

So I looked, and Bitch Bitch Bitch was gone gone gone!

Not only gone, but someone else had moved into her Geocities address, so that's what I really call gone.

So I asked Amanda (my connection for Australian journals), who asked the Star Bellied Sneetches over at Diary-L, but nobody knew what had happened.

If you're reading this, Ellie, where you at?
