(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

1 May

And a beautiful first of May it is, here in New York!

Of course, I forgot it was coming, so I didn't prepare a design change. I do love the paper clips, but the black is just a trifle sombre for Spring. So if anyone wants to churn out a Spring-y design for me, feel free!

I've had the weirdest nightmares the last two nights (and if, like me, you loathe reading other people's dreams, just skip down to the next paperclip).

Thursday night I dreamt that I had left my laptop in a taxi after blowing the cabbie, and I was really upset because I love my laptop, so when I woke up and realized that it was a dream I was very relieved.

Last night I dreamt that I was directing a show, three characters, two half hour acts, and I was running lights and sound, as I always do in real life. Well, after the first act there was a fifteen minute intermission, and afterwards I couldn't find my way back to the booth!

It was a very complicated building, and I just kept getting lost-er and lost-er, and the people I would ask either had no idea what a booth was, or thought that I was kidding. One guy absolutely refused to show me where the door was, until I demonstrated by feeling all around the walls of the room we were in that I really truly couldn't find it.

Of course, the door was right there, but I just couldn't see it.

Anyway, the second act started about two hours late, because I got so lost, and most of the audience had left and the actors were furious with me.

The funny thing was that when I got up, I wasn't all relieved and happy, like the morning before. Even though it was patently a dream, I still was tired and sad. So I went back to sleep for another two hours, and was much happier when I got up.

I have, after much deliberation, decided that I do not trust Nelson to get us Star Wars tickets.

I can just imagine him going to the Zigfeld, seeing the line, and deciding "Nah, forget it." and, basically, fucking us up the ass.

But it turns out that 777-FILM is also selling tickets starting at 3p on 12 May, so I'm doing that. I figure that I'll have between five and ten minutes before the first day sells out, but if we can only get tickets for the weekend, that'll be okay, too.

I feel sorry for anyone who is standing in line for a month, though, and misses out on getting tickets for Opening Day because of 777-FILM, though! And I'll bet there'll be a few.

I have a new favourite journal, Just a Girl! It's a really well written, funny Australian journal, so check it out!

Careful, cautious and logical in your thinking today, you prefer a linear approach. Common sense wins over imagination.

"I have to pay twelve dollars for a twenty minute show???!!!"
