Happy St. Paddy's Day, all you people who desperately try to pretend that you're Irish all day long!
I found out yesterday that Great Big Sea are playing at The Bottom Line tonight. Dammit. Why dammit? 'Cause I have rehearsal. I cannot imagine a better way to spend a St. Paddy's Day, though.
And also, Happy Birthday to Tracing yesterday!
So yesterday I was, like I was warned, alone in Accounts Payable. Not only that, but both Liza and Adam from Finance were out as well, which meant that only The Evil Overlord and I were there.
I was somewhat worried, but because she was all alone, she was too busy to bug me! Neither were there alot of emergency phone calls either, so I just kind of got my work done in a leisurely fashion. It was one of the best days I've ever had at work!
Somewhat recently, as I was making the macaroni and cheese for the kids like a real grown-up, while Katie fed the baby in the living room, Molly ran into the kitchen and said "Kymmie, I love you just the way you are!" and ran out again.
Now where did that come from?
I think it's a bad sign that on that phone commercial with Michael Jordan and Foghorn Leghorn where Jordan does an impression of Foghorn, he sounds more like the real thing then that dope who's doing the cartoon voices these days.
I am no fan of the new Kermit voice, but at least it sounds generally like Jim Henson--just because the new Warner Brothers cartoon voice is Mel Blanc's son doesn't mean he has any talent or ability! I mean, clearly, when a retired basketball player with no acting ability whatsoever does a better job, wouldn't that give you a clue?
Hey! It's not as though he's not busy these days, maybe he's be interested in yet another new career!
