Things are pretty cool at work.
We're getting things done (The Raccoon for one was a whirlwind of activity yesterday) but we are relaxed and smooth about it.
Why? Because The Evil Overlord is on vacation this week, that's why! Not only that, but Linus (The Evil Overlord Once Removed) will be out today, so I can only assume that there will be limbo rock and conga dancing and margaritas and other drinks with umbrellas in them all afternoon!
Woohoo!
Okay, it's officially really truly A Scorcher, because I went out and bought a gallon of water last night.
When I get over my "It's ridiculous to buy water when it comes out of the faucet for free!" thing, you know that it's hot.
I'm also in that "goodness me, do I love my job!" thing, because otherwise I'd be in the house watching the cats pant all day.
Or they'd be watching me pant.
Perhaps I'll come into work over the three day weekend just to be in the cool! Either that or I'll go watch the same movie six times in a row, I haven't decided yet.
So last night Leno told an OJ joke that ended up with a Tonya Harding joke, thus setting the official record of the most out of date joke in captivity.
He then followed it up with jokes about Dan Quayle, Darryl Strawberry, and Pamela Anderson Lee. Leno is a masterpiece of banal humour! I'm agog watching him sometimes.
The only thing missing was a Taft joke or something.
