(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

21 June

So yesterday I spent the day ferreting away in the darkroom.

I did some of Marq and Michelle's wedding pictures, Cynthia's headshots, and some contest shots. I would have felt very fabulous about myself and all had I not seen the hideous messiness of a couple of the prints.

I work so damn fast that I don't check things properly, and a few prints ended up so hairy that your could practically braid it. But enough turned out good that I was happy with the day.

I was shattered by the end of the day, though, so instead of going to the shows at the theatre, I went home. Shame on me.

Also, I didn't have time to wash my hair before I left the house and I hadn't washed it on Saturday either (I know, I know, I'm revolting) so I looked like I was personally trying to bring the DA back into fashion, and though I was willing to go to the darkroom looking like that, I didn't particularly want to display my slovenliness in front of every single one of my friends.

So I went home and made a cake.

On the news last night they ended up with a little story about how the very next day after the royal wedding, they had a new Sophie mannequin in Madame Tussaud's in a perfect replica of the wedding dress and how she even donated a hair sample so that it would be perfect, and then the anchorman said:

"Wow, they must have been working all night!"

I wonder if anyone mentioned to him afterwards that perhaps they didn't actually start making it the day before--maybe they've been working on it for quite awhile.

I made tuna fish tonight and I sort of left the unused portions of onion and celery on the table, and then I turned around and Milo was frantically licking the celery.

I can't believe he like celery. That cat is such a freak.
