Show's over!

I did end up having a good time doing it, though Gregg and I recalled last night our "I'll do it if you're doing it!" "Well, I'll do it if you're doing it!" conversation. I had fun, more or less, and got plenty of compliments and now I'm ready for a break.

I was given a full-length to direct for August, but that still means a break for a few weeks.

Did I do OP stuff yesterday? Nope! Just Imagine Radio!

I swear, I'm so obsessed about my station that now I have another station, and it's the second one that's linked off the index page because it's so much more together than my first station.

The first station, Hedgehog Radio, is the one that I'm still refining--the one that has over 300 unrated artists, but I'm glad I'm doing it this way, because I'm finding some people that I'm really interested in, Greg Brown for one, who reminded me very much of David Wilcox and went to the highest rating, a "5", halfway through the first song.

The second radio station is called The 5s, and it's just that, the artists that I gave a five to, no fours, no threes, only fives! So if you really want to know what I like, that's the place to go.

Imagine really is great with the artists, there are plenty of people that I was surprised to see, but there are some omissions that surprised me as much. Junior Brown is there, but Christine Lavin is not, and Southern Culture on the Skids is there but not a sign of Black 47.

Actually, as far as Irish rock goes, the cupboard is a bit bare. No Black 47, as I said, or Great Big Sea, or Saw Doctors, though they do have The Corrs, which the weakest of Irish bands, and The Chieftains, which is not.

But basically, I'm kept fairly happy with lashings of Randy Newman, Billy Bragg, Ani DiFranco, Robyn Hitchcock, Simon and Garfunkel, Kate Bush, Madness and The Monkees, among others, and figure that the rest will sort itself out in time!
