More ants yesterday! On Monday while we were outside, Cynthia took the opportunity to have Katie put down ant stakes, so clearly that drove them indoors to my apartment! The funny thing is that they were on the left hand side of my kitchen counter and in the sink, but there was food out on the right hand side of my kitchen counter! I had some blueberry muffins out because they get all hard when they're in the fridge, but they were roundly ignored. "What's the matter?" I said, "You don't like my cooking?"
We had the first rehearsal last night since Thursday. You know how yesterday I talked about all of the stuff I did during my long weekend? Notice how I didn't mention studying my lines? Actually, it went rather well. I only went up when Gregg skipped ahead and then stopped, and it took me a couple of tries to find where I was again. We're trying to get over that bursting into laughter every time we do our scene thing, but at one point I improvised snapping my finger in his face, but misjudged the distance so I actually punched him in the nose and started giggling and couldn't stop. Besides the line thing, the rehearsal went extremely well. Stan and I, in our scene at the table, were really talking to each other for the very first time, acting with each other rather than just in the same room as each other. Isn't that nice? Seeing as we open on Friday!
It was hot as hell, though. It was like 90°, but it didn't much bother me most of the time, since the office is climate controlled and my apartment, though freezing cold all winter long, stays cool in the heat as well! At rehearsal, though, we were in a hot, stuffy little room, running around and falling down and stuff, though we mostly left our costumes off. Since they mostly consist of scarves and coats and big warm shawls. Bleh.
I won a Diarist Award! Not that I was notified, though. Bizarrely, I found out when I got a very sweet congratulatory email from The Sole Proprietor, whom I don't actually know! Congrats to all the other winners and nominees!
