(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

16 December

Well, after all that, no transit strike. How dull.

So yesterday I turned into Loony Christmas Gal.

On my way home I bought presents for Molly and Bonnie (finishing off the Callahans) and one for my friend Melanie's daughter, Rebeccah, meaning that I'm just one child short for her family, and tonight is the darkroom and then I'm done of a doneness!

Anyway, back to Loony Christmas Gal. I decided that I was sick and tired of never doing anything with my Christmas cards besides look at them once and put them in the traditional Festive Christmas Card Pile Stuffed Onto My Bookshelf, so I decided to tape them up on my door! It looks beautiful.

I've gotten so many cards this year, much more than usual. This is mostly because of the Betsy-Tacy list, who are doing a card exchange--it's really great. Usually I send out a couple of hundred cards and get back six, but I'm getting lots from readers and other diarists this year, too, more than last year.

Were I only receiving cards from people that I knew in real life, I'd have (I think), two.

After the cards, I wrapped presents.

I got my Amazon order, so I wrapped all of those that need to go out, and the Callahan's stuff, too, though we're not having Christmas until tomorrow night. Man, do I love presents. The fun thing is thinking of great things for people and then ordering them through the mail so that when you get them you get all excited all over again about what great presents these are!

I'll tell you, though, my fingers are getting as weak as noodles, because just like the cards, the later presents wrapped are the saddest and most pathetic!

So, Jennifer thinks that she even has a chance to overtake me as Journaller Who Has Met the Most Other Journallers, does she? Notice that she did not, but also realize that I have a card up my sleeve!

While I'm home for Xmas, Nancy will be giving a Boxing Day party, which I will be attending along with about twenty more journallers that I have yet to meet! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Eat my dust, Jen.

Today's horoscope:
Family goals are in focus and inflated egos could complicate the process. Avoid opinions and stick to facts.

One year ago today:
It's the irresistible force meets the immovable object when it comes Bonnie and me and my glasses.
