(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

24 August

What a swell birthday that was! I mean, nothing's gonna beat my Mom's 35th birthday, which was also her wedding day, but next to that it was pretty great.

I got lots of neat presents, a wildly cute stuffed hedgehog from Lucy, a card from Colleen and one from my friend Robert (soon to have a URL to link to!), from my Mom I got two pairs of earrings, a black jersey shirt, black pants, a natural linen jumper and shirt, plum Birkenstock sandals, three pairs of socks, foot lotion and fig soap, and from myself I got all three Ellen Raskin books that are in print (The Westing Game, The Mysterious Disappearance of Leon (I mean Noel), and Figgs and Phantoms), To Visit the Queen by Diane Duane, and a new copy of Life Among the Savages by Shirley Jackson, three Nichols and May cds, a Spaulding Gray cd and Young Frankenstein on DVD.

And then I also opened up the Little Criminals cd (the Randy Newman fan cd) and the digital camera.

The LCCD is just so totally cool. I mean, there is some really fantastic stuff on there, and the packaging is beautiful, and you lucky people who bought them will be getting them really soon because I'll send them out this week!

The digital camera isn't anything like as cool as Tracing's or Lucy's or Iko's or Andria's, but I'm very thrilled with it all the same. Pics coming soon!

Then I went to see The Sixth Sense, which was glorious. It was even better than I thought it would be, and I thought that it was gonna be great!

I did notice, though, as I pulled out my pass, that I have a full fourteen left (after using one yesterday) and they expire on the 31st! So I have some serious movie going to do in the next eight days. Again.

No time for more, gotta get to work early this morning, more tomorrow!
