(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

11 August

So, the mother opened.

Went well, too! The audience was smaller than I would have liked (LCP is not used to opening shows on Tuesdays, you see) but there were some friends of mine there that I haven't seen in simply years.

They laughed and stuff, but not as much as I would have liked, and strangely the first part of a four part gag that spans the show got no laughs at all, but the other three got a reaction.

Thank God.

There was quite a hand at the end, and they spontaneously started singing along with the closing music, Gene Autry singing "My Darlin' Clementine". And then when I walked out to clear the set, they gave me a round! Of course, they were all my friends, but it was very nice all the same.

I tried to read during the parts of the show that I am so sick of that I never want to see again (and where I have no light cues) but couldn't concentrate.

Maybe I'll get some reading done as we get farther into the run.

I have no energy, so I'm cutting this entry short. Take a look at what Renee made me! Isn't it cool?

Today's horoscope:
Friendships are natural on the job, but don't let them keep you from relating to everyone. Exclusion leads to inefficiency.

My ass thanks you, Bill!
