Ahhhh, no rehearsal yesterday. What a treat. I don't get to say that again until Saturday, and I'm babysitting that day, so it won't be entirely restful.

Funnily enough, I told The Raccoon about The Actor in Question and how he's making faces and rolling his eyes and sighing at me and how I can't tell him to do anything, and she immediately, before I finished the story, said "Just like how you treated me when I first came here!"

So I'm right about the whole karma thing!

I kinda accidentally bought a digital camera yesterday.

You see, a month or so ago I got a Yahoo mail account because my friend Andria recommended it to me, saying that you could check your home email through it. I, of course, have never once been able to check my home mail, but I'm still using it because I subscribed to all of my mailing lists there.

Anyway, I was checking my mail and I noticed this link to Yahoo Auctions and I thought I'd peek, just for fun you know. I mean, I've looked at ebay before without buying anything, I thought it would be safe.

Ha!

I peeked at the digital cameras, and I saw one that I liked and there was only fifteen minutes left of the auction. I trolled around on the web a bit, and I found the camera that I was looking at for $50 more than the current high bid, so I thought what the hell, I'll bid!

The bid increment was $5, so I bid $5, but was automatically outbid by the high bidder, which outraged me! I thought, though, that maybe I couldn't really afford a digital camera right now this very little minute, but I wanted to punish the high bidder or outbidding me without even being there, so I bid another five bucks, and...I was the high bidder!

There was only three minutes left of the auction, and I felt like such a carpetbagger, you know? Sort of swooping in at the last second and outbidding the guy who had been in the lead for a day and a half, but it was an accident!

I'm actually happy about it, though I might have waited until I could afford it a little more than I can right now. But yay! I have a digital camera!

And last night when I got home, I did some work on the Open Pages queue.

I swear, I haven't touched it in a month what with having no time at all, so there are 300 sites in the queue and I can't possibly tell who's been there the longest, so I just started on the most recent letters I have received.

So there are people out there who think that I am a monster for leaving them in the queue for four months and there are people who think that I am a goddess for adding them twenty minutes after they submitted themselves.

Anyone reading this who has been languishing in the queue, I promise I'll get to you soon, I'm sorry!

The high today is only supposed to be in the mid-eighties! I'm not used to such temperate weather, I may have to wear a parka!
