So last night I forced Cynthia to open my birthday present, even though her birthday isn't until today.

Isn't that awful? Especially since I flat out refuse to ever even glance at a present before my birthday. But I had made the pictures on Saturday, and I had shown them to everyone else in sight, and I really wanted her to see them!

There's one really sweet one of her and Fran and Bonnie after the christening, where Fran looks incredibly handsome. I forget that Fran is good looking, I see him every day, but when I blew up that shot he took my breath away.

Here's some fun news!

There's this thing called First Look that Martin Scorsese and Robert DeNiro are involved with, where they choose independent films that have no distribution in order to screen and throw a reception for, and this month's film in question is called Adios East Los by our old friend Bill Lansford, and it's the last film that my father ever did.

I hope that I can get tickets to the New York screening, even though I am not a distributor. I'm saying that I'm part of the production company. I really really want to see it.

Nik and I have almost definitely decided to go to Boston for Memorial Day weekend.

I say almost definitely, because when I saw him yesterday and mentioned it, he looked at me with exhausted eyes (work is hell, school is hell, he looked like death) and said that he thought yes, but was incapable of thought at that moment and could we talk about it this weekend.

So that's what we're doing, but it looks good.

So, Gabby doesn't want any wistful journal entries from anyone that she's ended her journal, at least for now, so none from me. I won't even mention it.

However, I will mention that Nancy has ended her journal, at least for now and Beth took her whole site down because real life has gotten in the way of net life and I am VERY SAD!

But not about Gabby, 'cause she will get mad, only about Nancy and Beth.

Did I used to be a better writer? I read my year ago links and it's all so good, but I've been feeling really dull lately. I must be going through a bad writing stage.

I hope I come out the other side soon.
