(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

26 April

I thought I had nothing to do yesterday.

Saturday night I said to Nik, "You know what I'm doing tomorrow? Absolutely nothing. I'll just stare at the walls, drooling all day. I may not remember to breathe."

And I wasn't quite doing that, but I did make pancakes and wash the dishes while watching While You Were Sleeping on DVD, while connected to the Internet, natch, as I always am.

At 4.45p I lost my connection, so I decided to check my messages before re-connecting. There was a message from Sharon from several hours before where she said "I haven't got anyone this afternoon, so if you get this message, I really need you here in the box office early, before 5p when you were going to get here anyhow."

Whoops. I had forgotten that we had, in passing, mentioned doing the box for the evening show.

Fortunately, I no longer live in Brooklyn, so when I left the house at 5p, I got there at 5.15p. And the first thing I did as I walked through the door was admit that I had forgotten about working the show, and Sharon admitted that she had forgotten that we had arranged it until the last minute herself!

The funny part was, right after Sharon's message was a message from Le, thanking me for working on the Samuel French. Boy, would I ever have been embarrassed had I listened to both of those messages late last night, after having forgotten to come in.

The discussion of guns on diary-l is great. Saves me so much time in my life just deleting all messages unread. I probably reclaimed a whole extra hour this weekend, not reading diary-l!

I mean, I would read this thread, but I'd probably shoot myself in the eyes out of boredom, so best that I just don't.

"It's like a quirky, edgy movie got attacked by self-help tapes."

...Was what Roger Ebert said about Pushing Tin last night. That's what I would have said were I a better writer.

Who the hell was that giant red-headed freak with him this week? I missed the beginning again.

After John Cusack asks Cate Blanchett if she was happy I did say:

"Well, I was happier when I was Queen of England, but this is okay, too. The sex is better, for one"

Looky, cookie!

Looky this totally cool search engine I got from Mark Bridgeman, Man of Many Journals!

He's so cool, I'd marry him if we both lived in the same hemisphere! And if we weren't both in love with other people.

Today's horoscope:
Part of you wants to be out in the world; the other half yearns to stay at home. You need both; don't let guilt get in your way.

One year ago today:
They needn't make it quite so clear that they don't want to fuck me.
