(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

2 April

So yesterday, right before uploading my entry I heard that Patrick had imitated me for his April Fools entry, so I linked it and ran out the door. Then I found out that Columbine had also done me for April fools!

They both popped up on Journal-L talking about how they basically just had to pepper every paragraph with exclamation points and at least one word in bold!!!!!

They forgot about beginning almost every paragraph with the word "So", but otherwise they got me pretty good!

Nik goes to Miami Beach today. If you see him, say hello.

He called me last night to check in before he left. I asked him what he would be doing in Miami Beach, and he said swimming and sunning and drinking. This sounds like the dullest vacation in the world to me--I may be a California girl, but beaches have always bored me, and I have never been drawn to Florida.

However, it did rain yesterday, so I did feel a little pull about heading for such nice warm weather (80-85° for the foreseeable future) but I'd far prefer to go to Philadelphia!

"I figured I'd leave for the airport around noon."
"When's your flight?"
"It's at 4p."
"And you're leaving at noon?"
"Well, it'll take a couple of hours to get there on the subway."
"The subway? Why aren't you taking a car?"
"The last time I took a car I left my wallet in it and ended up missing my flight!"
"But that wasn't the car's fault! C'mon, don't be cheap, take a car. It'll take you half an hour to get there in a car!"
"No, I'll just take the train and get there early and read."

This is the difference between us. I'd rather leave the house as late as possible, which is why I always miss planes. He'd rather travel the slow way to save $15 or so. If he's not somewhere at least fifteen minutes early, he feels late. If I'm somewhere twenty minutes late, I think I'm on time.

He is destined to always be waiting for me.

More tapes yesterday!

Julie Miller sent me a Texas/Not Texas tape and an Estrogen/Testosterone tape, both of which are trif. I particularly enjoyed the Indigo Girls covering my very favourite Dylan tune, Tangled Up in Blue.

Keep 'em coming, guys!

Today's horoscope:
Fantasy and some daydreaming are quite natural today. Your imagination weaves possibilities that can made real later.

I am entirely uninterested in smelling the cat box on a regular basis.
