(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

So, did I clean the apartment last night?

Well...not no! But not exactly yes, either. I got rid of all those magazines and newspapers from on top and underneath the kitchen table, so now all I have to do tomorrow night is change the cat box, sweep and mop the floor, put all those clothes away, clean the toilet, make the bed, do the rest of the grocery shopping, and make the bread pudding!

O, and I'm having my first rehearsal for the Xmas show as well!

No problem. I work well under pressure...I think...

I finished the Christmas card yesterday as well.

You see, my family has always made our own Christmas card, with me doing the cover and my father writing a comic poem about what we have done all year. They were really great, too.

Anyway, since he got sick at Christmastime 1996 and died in January, alot of those cards didn't go out, so last year we decided that instead of making a new card to send out the card containing his last poem, plus the programme we made for his memorial service with another poem he wrote in it.

My point being, that this is the first year that I have had to write the poem! It's not a poem, but Mom and I are still calling it "the poem", probably because it's faster than saying "the thing that is no longer a poem in the place where the poem used to be".

So, after my mother nagging at me for the past three weeks (it's not like I wasn't busy twenty-four hours a day), I finally wrote it on Sunday night in about twenty minutes, and actually remembered yesterday to bring it to work so that I could FedEx it to her.

Now all I have to do is manage to mail them out this year, and I'll be in better shape than usual!

Great news! Nik's spending Christmas in L.A.!

His Dad is sending him a ticket so he won't have to spend it alone at The Overlook. I found the idea of him being in that awful place by himself with no tree and going out to McDonald's or whatever for Christmas dinner unbearably horrible!

And, of course, the idea of our being in the same town for a few days during my vacation is pretty cool, too. I don't know how much time we'll be able to spend together (his dad isn't flying him out so that he can spend time with me) but anything is better than not seeing him for two weeks!

Hooray! I'm easily pleased...

Renee finally had her baby last night!

She went to the hospital, was sent home from the hospital, then went to the hospital again and had her. Her story about the not-birth is here, and if I ever had any doubt about home birth being the way to go, I don't anymore!

Congrats Renee and Stuart! Can't wait to hear the gory details, so get yourself to that computer ASAP, do you hear me?
