(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

28 March

O my God the weather!

And no, I'm not gonna bitch for once, 'cause it was GAWjus!

Sunday it snowed the first actual sticking show of the year, Thursday was 70° and sunny and was spring at last, and yesterday was 85° and was summer somewhat early! That was certainly the shortest spring that I remember, but I'm worried that if it keeps getting hotter and hotter every day it'll be four hundred degrees by next week! Are we moving closer to the sun?

The funniest part was when I was working the front desk and people were going out to lunch all bundled in coats and scarves and things and I would yell at them "It's in the 80's for Chrissakes!" and half of them would immediately throw their coats off and the other half would clutch their coats tighter because they just wanted to see for themselves.

My favourite was Pat, who, when told that she didn't need her coat, said "I don't care how hot it is, it's March!"

Right after writing the above, I visited Tracing's site and read this. Clearly, great minds think alike, but so soon after the plagiarism blowup on Diary-L I thought I'd make it perfectly clear that this was just an amazing co-incidence. Just like how TV was invented in like four countries at the very same minute.

So I finally decided to look in the phone book and see where the nearest Fleet Bank is, i.e. where I will be making the deposit after we switch banks.

Well, there's a branch on Delancy St., which is a million miles from the office, a branch on Grand St., which is a million miles from the office, a branch way downtown on Broadway, which is a million miles from the office, and a branch on 79th and Lexington, which is 200,000 miles from the office.

Man, I knew it...it's gonna take two hours a day. At least the weather's getting nice...

So the other day at work this voice said on the overhead page:
"We are testing the fire alarm--this is only a test", and then, about thirty seconds later, the quietest fire alarm in all the land rang, and from cubicle to cubicle all you could hear was:
"That's the fire alarm?" It sounded like a child's slide whistle, if said child was about a block away.

I said that it was a non-invasive fire alarm. If you're on the phone or something, it won't interrupt you. It doesn't want to intrude.

Yesterday I popped by the theatre to rent some space for Sunday, and this fella John was there, whom I absolutely have not seen in forever, and it was really swell to see him, and he showed me his new digital camera and took a couple of pictures, then e-mailed them to me.

So above is me to the left and John to the right, and I have fucked around with them so much in Paint Shop Pro (you are on day 267 of your 30 day trial) that our own mothers couldn't recognize us!

I love them this way.
