(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

1 March

O my God I feel rough.

I wish I could have rested yesterday. I wish I could rest today. No rest for the wicked, I guess.

Six hours in the darkroom, and ask me if I finished the wedding. Go on, ask! No I didn't fucking finish the wedding! Seven pictures short!!

Now I'm really going to throw myself into an electric fan.

Afterwards I limped to the theatre to see the latest bunch of Williams plays, which were closing last night and which were chock full of friends all of whom had come to see my show so I kind of had to.

It was a great evening! Better than ours, actually, because there wasn't a dud play. There was a dud actress, but she was working with someone brilliant, so I barely noticed her.

Kevin was there, and it was nice to see him in a chipper mood, because every time I've talked to him on the phone he always sounds on the verge of suicide (maybe it's just his phone voice--or maybe I have really bad timing with phone calls!).

In the show 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, Carol Henning had a line "O, I can't be expected to think, I'm too lazy..." and Kevin started giggling and elbowed me in the ribs.

Apparently, the consensus is, that's my theme line...

Then I came home and I was gonna finish up my column, I swear, but again, I just fell into bed without turning on the computer again.

And then was awakened at the ungodly hour of 10.30 by Cynthia knocking at the door because I had promised to watch Molly. I don't know if any of you people have ever tried to write something vaguely clever and amusing with a dreadful cold and a two year old on your lap and Pooh on the VCR, but it's quite an intelligence test!

But as soon as Cynthia and Fran get back, I'll write that damn column...

And I am fascinated to know who fucked up my counter!

Jan Yarnot was the one who brought it to my attention that it had reset itself, so I have my suspicions...
