Here it is, Sunday morning, I just talked on the phone to my mom for an hour, and I am about to faint from starvation, and I want to get myself to the House o' Pancakes, so this'll be quick!
Yesterday I rehearsed my show again, and I rehearsed it at my office because none of the actors have decent places to work and I had to come in and work anyway.
Nik works on Saturday, so I just bundled up my armload of checks that need to go out and sat in Shipping working with him for most of the day. It was very comfortable and nice.
When we left we decided to give The X-Files movie a shot, but at 8.30 the next available screening at The Ziegfeld, the best movie theatre in New York, was at 12.45a in the morning, so we decided to go see Mulan instead.
It was wonderful!!!!
Go see it! Go go go!! We loved it so much. The battle scenes were great and the characters were fabulous and it was really swell to see the girl save the guy's ass for once! But the best bit was the villain, voiced by Miguel Ferrer, and it's the sexiest Disney villain voice since Sher Khan, voiced by George Sanders, in Jungle Book. When I was little I would move the needle back over and over again to hear his two lines "How interesting" and "How delightful".
Well, Shan-Yu is just that hot.
Anyway, after that we went to Zuni's and drank for two hours and had a really wonderful time.
And now, the House of Pancakes beckons, so domani, baby!
