Of course, all I have to do is spend $70 on a two day outdoor music festival to make the weather switche from being all lovely and warm as it has been pretty much every day for the past two weeks to the deluge that it was yesterday, and will be for the whole weekend, if the NBC Five Day Forecast can be at all trusted.
This show had better be fucking good!!!
After work last night I did my second crit and updated Funny Pages and No Spring Chicken . I hadn't realized that it had been quite so long since I've worked on those pages until I looked at some of the dates on the e-mails requesting inclusion!
They were positively geriatric! Anyway, if I left anyone out, let me know, 'cause I've probably lost the e-mail.
So last night I went upstairs to give Cynthia and Fran some money and they were watching the basketball game, and I had a couple of stories to tell them and the basketball game was on and...
I started watching it.
I have never watched basketball--I loathe basketball! But I really got caught up in it! It was a really close game and the score was really low (that's my beef with basketball, it's too easy to score) and I discovered a majorly cute guy on each team, John Stockton of the Jazz and Toni Kukoc of the Bulls, both of whom just take my breath away. Particularly Stockton. Jesus, he's fine.
Anyway...
And though at first I was rooting for the Bulls simply because if they had won it would be over and Nik won't have to sprint home nights until the World Series, I love an underdog so I was glad when the Jazz won. Even though that means at least one more game, if not two.
I can't become a basketball fan at my age, I haven't got the time!
Possibly the most pathetic sight in New York City is that of limo attached to a tow truck.
