(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

7 January

So yesterday was my first day back at work after my holiday.

Man, do I hate having to work the day after I get back! I really needed a day in which to stare at the walls and get over the trauma of re-fueling in Palm Springs and all, but 'twas not to be.

I did, however, take a remarkably small amount of work and make it last all damn day, so that made up for my lack of having a decompression day.

I accompanied John to the stationery store on a buying trip, and we had to order some self-inking stamps.

Now John is, and he will admit this, the worst speller on God's green earth, and he's always asking me to help him out, so when he needed to get a stamp saying "see attached" he asked me to vet his spelling of the word "attached".

Unfortunately, that's one of those words that I can never remember how to spell, whether there are three t's or only two. And I picked the wrong one.

"No, silly, it's spelled a-t-t-a-T-c-h-e-d!"

We got back to the office and I checked the spelling and had to call the store in incredible embarrassment, begging them to remove that darn third T.

I watched Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on TV on New Year's Eve (duh), and they flashed on the screen that it was -18° with the wind chill factor, so I bundled up plenty when I got off the plane, only to find it toasty-oasty warm!

It was about 50° yesterday! In New York! In January!
I wore a short-sleeved dress to work, which I would have done anyway as it's always tropically hot in my office, but I jettisoned my parka half-way through the day and wandered around the Upper East Side absolutely coatless.

It did rain during the day, but not when I was outside, so I still think it was a swell day, and I take the credit for bringing the beautiful weather with me from California. It may have gotten a little foggy and grey on the way, but you can't have everything.

Fun with stats!
It seems that a person from the domain "ppp011.uio.no" read virtually my entire site yesterday, but did not email me! If you read this, o person from Norway, don't be shy, say hi!

I love my stats...
