(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

17 February

I ran into Peter Rabbit (who loves it when I mention him in here) on my way to the van last night, and kicked him vigorously in the shins for having had the temerity to miss my show.

The funny part was when I said to him "You don't love me at ALL!" and he, with a shocked look on his face, practically yelled back "O yes, I do, I love you VERY MUCH!!!

So finally I got a man to say that to me!
Of course, he's gay, but beggars can't be choosers!

I'm hoping someday to lose this Mississippi accent that has attached itself to me since doing the Williams play.

It's a really sticky accent, plus it's very useful for sarcastic comments. And I don't know whether you've noticed or not, but I tend to make alot of those.

Like that one.

But now I find myself dropping my r's right and left and the litter is really starting to pile up. Plus, my co-workers are starting to glance at me strangely, and they're used to me!

Have I become some sort of boring person magnet lately?

I can't think of any other reason why, wherever I go, the dullest person in the area will make a beeline for me and proceed to talk me to death, standing too close as they do so.

On Saturday night it was Kevin's roomie, the Ken Doll, who is entirely guileless so you kinda have to forgive him, but he is so boring that I had to bite my fingers till the blood came in order to keep an interested look on my face while he was talking at me.

(On a side note, according to Kevin this guy had an accident at one time or another and is now totally fine but for one thing: he can't smell shit. To me, it explains why he can keep rolling out that line of bullshit to every pussy he meets--it may make everyone else's eyes water, but he can't smell a thing!)

And then on Sunday night, they just wouldn't stay away from me!

One after the other, leaning in, droning on, and I'm trying not to cringe too much, as that might be considered rude.

Ilia Kulik makes me laugh.

It's those red cheeks. My Mom tells about when she was a kid she had very bright red cheeks which she found humiliating, because they were, as she said "Red cheeks like a peasant! I looked like I was about to go out and milk the cows!"

And when I see Kulik's cheeks like he put on too much blush (and with an unsteady hand at that) I always think of that.

I can't believe that I have forgotten to tell you this for a whole entire month, but the new Electzine is up! It went quarterly, so when my new article went up in January, I had written it so far in the past that I completely blanked.

Anyway, go here, hit columns, then Postcard From New York.
