I just found out that the dullest, most boring, good-hearted and nice and honest as the day is long, but ponderous person I have ever met has got himself a girlfriend and is moving in with her!

I am astonished! Good for him and I'm pleased as punch, but wow! Now the rest of us have no excuse!

So now that I'm living on ground level, there is this black and white cat who comes every day to look in the kitchen window. The first time I saw him, in fact, I had to count the black and white cats in my apartment to make certain that nobody got outside.

The funny thing, though, is Monty. I have mentioned before that his brothers beat him up all the time but when he sees a strange cat he gets all brave, and it's hilarious to see him rush to the kitchen window puffed up to twice his size, hissing and growling his outrage that this strange cat would have the nerve, the temerity, the unmitigated GALL to look in his window!

The other three just look bemusedly on.

So I was hanging out in Shipping, waiting for Nik, and listening to the other two shipping guys talking.

One says "Hey, there's some new stuff on Pay Per View!"
"What do they got?"
"Air Force One, The Fully Monty..."
"The Fully Monty? What's that?"
"Ummm...I think it's about some gay guys or something..."

I did Les Miz again last night...

I think pretty soon Cynthia and Fran will cringe and roll their eyes at the opening notes, in full knowledge that they will be serenaded for the next three hours or so.

Damn their warnings, damn their lies
They will see the people rise!
