21 April So yesterday New Chick wasn't at work, so I had to be the entire AP department all by my own little self. This was not a particular problem, but I had to run about ten checks, and it took absolutely ages! It was exhausting--I was ready for a nap by the end of it. Have I mentioned before how much I hate the new AP system?
When I got home I decided to listen to my new Les Miz CD. And for me, "listen" means "sing along". Now, I am entirely aware that Cynthia and Fran hear me quite clearly when I am yelling back at the TV (yes, I am well along the road to batty-old-maid-dom), but did that make me sing quietly? Heaven forfend!
There are parts of Les Miz that one simply cannot sing quietly:
I think I was probably a source of some amusement last night...
Red--the blood of angry men!
Then I stormed the barricades. It was a full evening!
There was a truly great line in Sliding Doors the other day. Jeanne Tripplehorn, who plays the bitch that Gwyneth Paltrow's louse of a boyfriend (not the fabulous Scots guy) is fucking, says: "I am a woman! We don't say what we want! But we reserve the right to be pissed off when we don't get it. That's what makes us so fascinating! And not a little bit scary." And this reminded me of when I went to see The Spanish Prisoner with Chris and he bought a small popcorn and I didn't buy anything and he said "Aren't you getting anything?" and I said no, and when we sat down I started eating his popcorn.
He said "O, so that's what you're going to do!"
Gotta tell ya, a two week old baby sneezing about the cutest thing that I've ever seen in my life. And I know she's a month old, but she was sneezing two weeks ago and I never put it in here. So sue me!
